Dan Belyea

Chief Workforce Development Officer at the Maine Community College System

About Dan

Dan Belyea serves as the Chief Workforce Development Officer at the Maine Community College System (MCCS) and the Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce, managing over $62 million in training investments.  With 35 years at MCCS, and a rich history of administrative roles at Eastern Maine Community College, Dan’s experience, strategic vision, workforce development and leadership extend through his active involvement in several boards and initiatives.  He is a member of the State Workforce Board and serves on the board of the Maine Technology Institute.  He was appointed by Governor Mills to the Board of Visitors and Chair for the Long Creek Development Center with the Maine Department of Corrections and served a two-year term on the Maine Connectivity board.  His recent addition to the JMG board in January 2024 further emphasizes his dedication to enhancing youth education and workforce readiness.  As a member of the long-term recovery community, Dan’s work signifies a deep commitment to fostering resilience and growth in Maine.
