About Art
Arthur Stevens is a Loan & Investment Officer at Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI), a Maine-based community development financial institution with a mission to build just, vibrant and climate-resilient futures for people and communities in Maine and rural regions by integrating finance, business expertise and policy solutions in ways that make the economy work more equitably. Art serves on the Board of the Sanford-Springvale Chamber of Commerce, the Employee Growth Services Committee for the Manufacturers Association of Maine and is on the Program Advisory Committee for the Academy of Business-Sanford Regional Technology Center.
Art joined CEI in 1992 as a Project Coordinator for a 3-year demonstration project and has held positions with the workforce team as well as lending during his tenure. Prior to joining CEI, Art was an Employment Developer with Creative Work Systems, assisting persons with disabilities in accessing meaningful work. He is a semi-professional drummer having worked with an assortment of musical projects over the years, can often be seen around the campfire playing his guitar while singing poorly, and enjoys all forms of fishing (especially ice-fishing) and outdoor sporting activities.

What is unique about the town you grew up in?
Calais, Maine, located on the St. Croix River across from St. Stephen, New Brunswick. As a kid you could cross the bridge on foot to go to the movies.
